Why Do You Want to Make Money Online?

Why do we want to learn how to make money online? So many people want to. So many are right now. 

I think one of the main reasons is freedom. Freedom from the office or dead end job. The dream of working from home whenever they want and be their own boss. Others have a family and want to be able to have more time stay home with their kids. Some are pushed into a corner to provide for their family and stumbled upon. After getting five figure checks a month, they’ve stayed with it. 

Others read about the money that can be made my super affiliates and dream about making that type of money. Reading about five figure days has got to get anyone excited. We spend enough time on the internet anyways so why not find a way to turn that time into money? 

For me, the reason I am pursuing this is freedom. I want to find a way to earn money from anywhere in the world. If I want to travel, all I need is my laptop and an internet connection and I’m still able to work. 

In Tim Ferris’ book “The 4 Hour Work Week” (a great book) he talks about having a “muse”. That is a business that earns you money so that you can do whatever you want. I know that sounds a bit weird. That business ideally only has you working four hours a week. Then you can go volunteer or pursue your passion, without having to worry about making money. I like the idea behind it. The new generation doesn’t want to work for work’s sake. We want to work because we love it. 

That’s my dream ideal situtaion. Making money online is not all I want to do in life. It’s just what I want to do to help me get started with what I do want to do. I wanna work hard but play hard too. I don’t want to make so much money (unless I hit the lotto) that I’m working all the time. 

Why work at a job doing 60-80 hours a week to a lot of money for years only to save all that money until you’re retiring age, and then enjoy it? I’d rather enjoy my money while I’m young. So I wish to make enough that I don’t worry about the bills. Enough to travel and splurge on nice items sometimes.  

We all have our reasons for trying to make money online. What is yours? I hope you are able to realize your dreams and feel happy about it. That’s why we’re doing what we are doing.
